SweetHartz Chocolatier, changing the way people enjoy chocolate, one piece at a time

SweetHartz Chocolatier is the new chocolate store in Naples, Florida. Our passion is creating quality, premium, traditional chocolates, made by hand, one at a time, with all natural ingredients and the finest chocolate from around the world.

Our chocolates are hand dipped in our own kitchen. We start with the finest chocolates and blend them with fruits and exotic flavors. Banana, raspberry, strawberry, coconut, caramel, pineapple, and mocha, are just some of the many varieties of truffles we make. We prepare our own caramel and marshmallow, flavored and enrobed in dark and milk chocolates.

Everything at SweetHartz Chocolatier is made with the finest ingredients from around the world. Cocoa from Africa; chocolates from Belgium, France, Switzerland and South America; vanilla from Mexico and fresh seasonal fruit are all used in our recipes.

Michael Hartz – The Sweet Heart

of SweetHartz Chocolatier

Most people never forget their first sweetheart.   That’s true for Michael Hartz of SweetHartz Chocolatier, because he never forgot his first love: chocolate making.

Michael’s love affair with chocolate began when he managed a chocolate store in Michigan during college.  Life’s travels made him leave chocolates and follow a career in the construction industry, but he kept making chocolates for family and friends, hoping to someday retire and turn that love into a business.  When the building industry took a turn for the worse several years ago, Michael decided it was time to make his life-long dream come true: open his own chocolate store.  The name “SweetHartz Confectionery” was a natural.

He first began in his home kitchen, hand dipping chocolates and making other confections. He moved to a church kitchen for a while and then to his current location on the North Trail.

“I decided I want to focus on premium traditional chocolates. I believe that premium chocolates should taste like chocolate; the last sensation you should taste when eating a chocolate, is chocolate. Sharing the pleasure of a simple chocolate inspires me to create the best chocolates possible,” he says.
